The Nucleus (formerly Knowledge Centers) at Sarafan ChEM-H provide access to a combination of enabling technologies, services and equipment, expertise, and hands-on training by key senior researcher staff to help scientists engage in research at the interface of chemistry and human biology.
The Nucleus includes cores specializing in Medicinal Chemistry (synthetic organic and medicinal chemistry), Macromolecular Structure (protein production, purification, crystallization, structure determination, access to SLAC resources), Metabolomics (targeted or untargeted metabolomics analysis, lipidomic analysis and flux analysis using LC/MS or LC/MS/MS), High-Throughput Screening, cryogenic Electron Microscopy (cryoEM), and Chemoproteomics.
Macromolecular Structure, Metabolomics, and Chemoproteomics offer services through this iLab site.
High-Throughput Screening offers services through their own High-Throughput Screening @ The Nucleus iLab site.
CryoEM services are offered in partnership with the School of Medicine CryoEM Facility (cEMc) iLab site.
Medicinal Chemistry services are available only for approved collaborative projects and users.
