ALERT

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, nearly all Stanford scientific core facilities using the iLab system have ceased lab operations.  Exceptions are the TKTC, which is offering mouse sperm and embryo cryopreservation services and the Fly Facility, which continues to make Drosophila food.  Online services, such as the Genetics Bioinformatics Service Center and new on-line data analysis options at SCi3, continue to be available.  The staffs of all of the core facilities remain available (on-line, not in-person) for discussions including experiment planning, data analysis, and manuscript preparation.

Stanford University Biobank

Overview of Services

The Stanford Biobank is a first-of-its-kind academic center for biobanking providing self-service sample management tools to empower Stanford faculty, centralize broad consent and community education, provide one-stop shop services for standardized laboratory services, and provision ‘green’ long-term sample storage solutions. The Stanford Biobank aims to pivot the definition of modern biobanking to include both improved biorepository management strategies, alongside an institute-wide broad consent and state-of-the-art data solutions for clinical and molecular data.
