Stanford Center for Innovation in In vivo Imaging at Porter (Sci3@Porter) is a Service Center Imaging facility that provide resources for the application and advancement of technologies for in-vivo biological assessment and imaging in animal models. Its mission is to develop an infrastructure, strategies, expertise and tools to perform mutlimodality in-vivo imaging in animal models and/or clinical translations.
As a Service Center, the imaging facility operate on a fee-for-service basis for users who are trained to use the instrument normally independently or with minimum supervision. Usage fees are calculated at per usage hour base and include reconstruction of data sets in standard format. The service center does not provide radioisotopes and contrast imaging agents and these costs are not included in the instrument usage fee but basic consumables are usually provided.
Investigators who are interested in joining the facility and get more information about how to obtain access to the facility, get hands on training or other services of the facility should contact Dr. Frezghi Habte.
All imaging work done at this facility if produces data resulting in a figure in a publication, all users are required to acknowledge the Service Center ("Stanford Preclinical Imaging Facility at Porter Drive") in the publication. Further, if staff members provided significant contributions on experimental design, data interpretation, or other intellectual contribution (as evaluated by the PI), then it is expected that these individuals will be co-authors on the publication.
