Overview of Services

Welcome to the Stanford Bio-X Center for Biological Microfluidics (SCBM)

 The SCBM (formerly known as the Stanford Microfluidics Foundry) leverages Stanford’s unique strengths across clinical medicine, the basic life sciences, and engineering to help researchers design, alter, fabricate, and test simple microfluidic devices for interdisciplinary research.

We provide the following services:

• Training in photolithography and soft lithography for microfluidic devices
• Access to facility and equipment for custom molds by trained users
• Access to facility and equipment for custom devices by trained users
• Fabrication of custom molds and devices - dependent on staff availability

Getting Started

• Stanford Users:  LOGIN or REGISTER for an iLab account using valid Stanford credentials (SUNet ID).

• Non-Stanford Users:  Click to LOGIN with approved iLab credentials. Or, click to SIGN UP for an iLab account.

• Visit the Customer Help Manual for further guidance using iLab's Core Facility Services.

Publication Acknowledgement

As with all Stanford Service Centers, credit must be given to the Stanford Microfluidics Foundry for data that results in a publication. If the work done at Microfluidics Foundry produces data resulting in a figure in a publication, you are required to acknowledge Microfluidics Foundry in the publication. Further, if Microfluidics Foundry staff members provided significant experimental design, data interpretation, or other intellectual contribution (as evaluated by the PI), then it is expected that these individuals will be coauthors on the publication.
