Neuroscience Microscopy Service (NMS)

Overview of Services

The NMS provides access to high-end, capital-intensive microscopy equipment and indepth training and experimental assistance.


Available equipment includes:

  • Zeiss LSM980 Plus with Airyscan 2 Joint Deconvolution and NIR imaging up to 900nm (Lorry Lokey Building SIM1 - G0827)

  • Zeiss LSM980 with Super Resolution Airyscan 2 Confocal Microscope (Stanford Neuroscience Building - S080)

  • Zeiss LSM710 Confocal Microscope (Stanford Neuroscience Building - S080)

  • LaVision Biotec Ultramicroscope II light sheet microscope (Stanford Neuroscience Building - S080)

  • Bruker/Prairie Technologies Two-photon Microscopes (Stanford Neuroscience Building - S080)

  • Zeiss AxioImager Motorized Widefield Fluorescence Microscope (Stanford Neuroscience Building - S080)

  • Image analysis workstations (Stanford Neuroscience Building - S080)

    • Imaris 3D visualization and analysis software, Neurolucida tracing software and Zen Desk analysis software.
